Both Carolyn and Stuart have first hand experience of managing end of life issues. Carolyn actively supervised services for both her parents on hospice. Stuart recenly lost his mother who chose not to be on hospice.
Jennifer M. Daniel, B.A., C.T.C., J.D.
Jennifer will be discussing the legal aspects and documents surrounding end of life.
Jennifer Daniel obtained her Degree of Juris Doctor from California Southern Law School. Ms. Daniel focuses her practice in the area of probate law, serving conservators and conservatees, probate administrators and beneficiaries by offering estate planning and special needs trust drafting, and trust administration. Jennifer remains involved in teaching through her instruction at University of California, Riverside, Extension Center, providing support to budding fiduciaries and paralegals.
Carolyn Michaelis-Moe, RN, MPA,
- Carolyn will be presenting information about health care for end of life, including services of hospice, what is covered, when to sign on as well as, the physiology of impending death.
Carolyn is the owner of Parent Care Management Services which provides full service geriatric care management to address problems of older adults. Her background as a Home Health and Hospice RN has provided her with many opportunities to interface with families in their greatest times of need,.
Stuart Swann, MSW, M.Divan
Stuart Swann is an ordained Episcopalian priest. He will address spiritual needs and unfulfilled issues, as well as the social structures in families and how they relate to the close of life for a parent.
Arrangements for mortuary and options will also be discussed.
