The Estate Planning Council of San Bernardino County is excited to welcome Dr. Regan Douty to present at the April In-Person meeting.
Dr. Douty has been a practicing physician in the Inland Empire for the past 22 years. He holds a clinical position at Beaver Medical Group in Redlands and is the Medical Director of the Department of Hospice and Palliative Care at Redlands Community Hospital. Dr. Douty also serves as a clinical teaching physician for the Riverside Community Hospital Transitional Year Residency program.
Discussion topics will include:
-What is hospice
-Covered benefit program through Medicare
-DNR forms and POLST (Physicians Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment) forms as they apply to terminal patients
-California Right to Die laws and the value of Health Care Directives?
